    Super OSW 64 RETURNS!

    Super OSW 64 600x600

Ok some awesome news, next Saturday 27th June, 1pm BST we’ll be doing another videogame show! This time I’m taking suggestions, the only caveat is we can’t use any track from a game already featured last time. (e.g. I used music from Silent Hill 2 already, but I could use Silent Hill 3’s music)

With that in mind, what do you want us to play? Leave a comment below. If you have a specific track from a game please lemme know. I’m looking for songs using real instruments rather than midi-sequences, but if you have a band/orchestra rendition the song that’s perfect.
It’d really help me out if you include a youtube link to the track, I’ll be more likely to choose it!

Here’s a list of games that are EXCLUDED from being on the upcoming show:
    GTA: Vice City
    Bioshock Infinite
    Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon
Super Street Fighter 2 HD Remix
    Ducktales Remastered
    Halo 2
    MGS 3
    Batman Arkham City
Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess
    Resident Evil 1
    Diablo II
    Super Metroid
    Killer Instinct (Original)
    Donkey Kong Country
    Shadowrun Returns
    Silent Hill 1 & 2
    Journey
    Assassin’s Creed 2
    Uncharted 3
    The Last of Us
    Red Dead Redemption/Undead Nightmare
    Super Mario 64, Galaxy 1 & 2
    Portal 1 & 2

So lemme know in the comments below what ya want to hear. Dying to know what whopper tracks you’ve got in mind 🙂 The show will live stream on PiledriverWrestling.net!

    – Jay

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Hey yo! You know the sweet action figure placecards we’re using for the X7 Saga? They’re done by the lovely DayDream Figures! They shoot a bunch of pics and my favourite(s) make it into the episode. Check out the photos, plus a bonus KANE FRIZZ photo!

    [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]WhatBar2tee2

WHAT BARRRRRR is this Penneys t-shirt? 😀
Notice that “Freaky Foot” is now “Funny Feet” and has lost it’s gouty toe (which was a chocolate wedge). Jay is not amused.

    What’s up with OSW!

    • Hope you enjoyed our new episode, Final Nitro!
    • The audio version is already uploaded:
    Android: http://RSS.OSWreview.com
    iTunes: http://iTunes.OSWReview.com
Direct Download: (right click, save as)

    • Next episode is WWF RAW Simulcast, from the same night as Final Nitro (March 26th) which is also the go-home show of WMX7!
    • It’s too soon to give an estimated date for Episode 51, but I’m aiming for the same time next month. I’ll let you know when we’ve recorded and editing is further along 🙂
    • I know it doesn’t look like it, but we’ve made significant headway with YouTube. Our plan is to get all our episodes on YT available again, but sadly it’s a slow process getting them vetted!
    • We did record something exclusively for a short YouTube video, I should have it edited in the next week. Whenever our YT channel is back in the pink, the next YouTube review is Metal Gear Solid 4! Sorry to leave ye hanging on it!
    • Written Film/videogame-review wise, I just finished reviewing the 4 Mad Max films! Next reviews in the pipeline are STATE of Decay and most likely, It Follows.
    • Thank you for your lovely feedback re: Super OSW 64, a one off radio show about videogame music I hosted recently. Hoping to snag another slot if available for round 2!

    • Some notes about episode 51 (Final Nitro):
    – Thanks for being so patient with the wait! Tons of real-life stuff came up meaning I couldn’t edit on my days off like I normally do.
    – The original intention of the video had a “worst of WCW” vibe to it, but seeing the end from WCW’s viewpoint at Nitro, it was just sad the way the company closed. So I asked Tri.moon to make a WCW Desire vid instead! Seriously love it. He also made our Dean Ambrose/Brian Pillman mashup for Hell in a Cell 2014 too!
    – Next episode will have an OSW artwork showcase! If you wanna draw us anything (like an OSW Monster Truck, or Ghost Linda perhaps!) please send it to us here, twitter or email OSWreview @ gmail. com!
    – I’m shocked so many noticed there wasn’t a WHAT BARRRR or Ad Break Questionarium. We did discuss What Bar during the Bam Bam match (there’s so few colours – black, white, pink we just left it be). They’ll be back!
    – The Mean Gene/blooper reel at the start of the video was from Jerry Springer’s WWE Network show, Too Hot For TV episode 6 “Bloopers and Blunders”. The show itself is pretty awful (it’s Springer in front of a green screen throwing to clips) but that episode was a goldmine! My favourite was Kane breaking his sledgehammer on the tombstone!
    – The Dusty promo used (SummerSlam 89, vs Honky Tonk Man) is my favourite promo of his. You can mark this one down tonight, I’mma kick your bootay, haaa!
    – 2 people (so far) know what HANG TIME is.

Until next time, here’s that Ambrose/Pillman mashup!

    Jay

OSW & the Ric Flair Tour!

    [vc_row][vc_column][pirenko_gallery type=”masonry” images=”3877,3878,3867,3868,3871,3872,3869,3870,3876,3873,3874,3875,3883″]tricker[/pirenko_gallery][vc_column_text]

    Hey yo!

We had a blast at the Ric Flair tour Saturday night! Forgot how big London is; we didn’t wait for trains after getting to Gatwick Airport but it took about 90 minutes to actually get to Upton Park! (Ireland is the size of a postage stamp: get from Dublin to Cork -opposite bottom corner of Ireland- in 3.5 hours!). Stayed in the Stadium’s hotel, which was lovely: the sliding patio-doors opens out onto the exec seats overlooking the football pitch. I’ll get the lads to send me the photos we took there. Those doors were supposed to be locked but a few seconds in the room, OOC (through no fault of his own) broke it open and we got into those seats for a bit. Poor woman in the room beside us had to shut her curtains.

Promoters Michael, Matt and Matt did an amazing job, the setup was like a wedding reception, with a celebrity guest – 8 seats to a table, lots of tables nicely spaced out (capped the attendance at 300); fanning around a main area where Ric would be asked questions and chat about his career, a bar beside the signing/photo area and an open buffet at another end. We arrived about quarter past 6 (4 hours before Knox O’Clock) and were treated like VIP talent by Michael and his crew, it was all a little embarrassing! 3 knobs coming in from Dublin! We were given some amazing swag; Naitch photos, t-shirts and these really impressive multiple-photo frames. Sarge shot gorgeous photos in front of a green screen which then had Flair graphics added in the background, printed out immediately, which fans could get signed by Naitch, great touch.

We weren’t sure what we’d get to do with Naitch but we dressed in suits just in case anything went down. Flair was game for some photo ops with ourselves, then altogether with us and the promoters. Ric was pretty chill, day 7 of a 7-day straight tour. He was wearing a dinner jacket and polo top, slacks, and loafters with no socks. Considered bringing up the sockless thing but didn’t want a fight. Or at least a “you think your better than me?”  lol. With him was Fifi the maid (remember her from Flair for the Gold?) who’s still gorgeous. Real Dixie Carter pretty vibe. She came up to me after the show which was v. nice of her. Honestly we didn’t spend much time with Ric; myself, V1 and OOC just hung out beside the bar where fans said hellooooo! It’s a surreal experience, as people at the event would either know who you are or absolutely don’t! Before Ric was on stage, we were brought up to talk about OSW for a couple of minutes, which was slightly terrifying. We were asked about our favourite Flair moments (Rumble 92 V1, Funeral Parlour 91 Jay, Final Nitro OOC). It was amazing having a pocket of fans cheering whenever we dropped a reference (I started off with our HELLOOOO intro and “a winner is you” :D) Afterwards we had more people come up to us asking about the show. I was asking Rob about doing 7 days straight interviewing Flair, he said he’d always hit on the big topics (eg retirement, Rumble 92) but has a different theme every night (eg NWA, death of WCW, Evolution etc). Lovely lad and was impressed at how much he’d put in to make each interview unique.

As Irish stereotypes we hung out by the bar, drinking and having a laugh. And fans got to smoke outside with V1 and OOC, how about that. A super nice dude called Mark (hey mate!) waited until after the show to say hello. Mortified thinking if there were a couple of people there that didn’t say hi! Everyone was super nice to us, even guys coming to see us and not Flair! BTW the Virgil dollars were over! Would love to somehow get one to every brah. I know we’ve a couple fans but it’s something we never really consider, so it’s very cool to actually meet peeps who dig the show! We just spent the night drinking and chatting with anyone nice enough to talk to us. It was fucking boss, absolutely lovely lads. I kept trying to turn them by asking who was their favourite host (btw they all said either V1 or OOC! ) 😀 It finished up around 10:30, we loitered around until we were hooshed out. Difficult finding a club in West Ham (the open one had pat-downs by bouncers) and the lads were wearing trainers. OOC suggesting taking your black socks off and putting them over your sneakers. It’s genius, who would do such a thing? No takers for that one.

I’m a bit waah about naming names as I’m definitely going to leave out many but thank you to Chris, David, Noel, Jordan, Ryan, Mark, Tom, Sam, Tim, Tony arrgh I’m missing a ton of people but please leave a comment! Also tweet me or post us a photo on Facebook you took during the night so I can put ’em all together! Massive thanks to everyone involved in the Ric Flair tour, promoters Michael Sleigh, Matt Mcgibbon aka Moonhead & Matthew Ward, Johny Bryan on merch, Rob Maltman the interviewer, Sarge on photos and Matt Taylor on security. That picture at the bottom is Michael, with a Virgil Dollar. It says “Take a Boo – V1, A winner is you! – Jay, No Catchphrase – OOC” 😀

Any questions on it we’ll answer below, just ask! Hopefully we’ll get to do it again sometime![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

  • OSW Update! 29th May

    OSW Update! 29th May

    Flair vs STING BEST10

    What’s up with OSW!

    • Currently editing Episode 51, Final Nitro! It’s always a pleasure chatting WCW (especially 2001) and it’ll be over an hour long. We’re away this weekend (woooo!) and I need 4 more sessions to finish it; likely gonna drop mid-June. Sorry for the delay, things coming up which mean I can’t edit on my days off. I’ve a few artists that asked for more time so fan artwork will be featured in episode 52! Maffew was kind enough to film an intro for us with a Chikara wrestler so it’ll open up Final Nitro. As always I’ll give you a heads’ up on FB & Twitter when the release day is set 🙂

    • New brown t-sharts are being made! They sold out in a few hours which is great but sucks at the same time. The Classic Black one is available in most sizes in the US and the UK!

    • Our Lesbian Pollen video is our first video to break 1,000,000 views! It’s gotta be the words “Top 10” and “Lesbian”. Anywoo, we’ve started uploading stand-alone segments from the show to keep the channel ticking over until we get full episodes back onto YT. WWE will give us the go-ahead but it’s a slow process. Already back is No Holds Barred: YouTube.com/watch?v=2tVe9Cdn92E
We did tape some NEW segments just for YouTube! But getting Final Nitro out is the main thing.

    • V1 has been streaming his Destiny gameplay with brah MagicZepplin on Twitch the past 2 Saturdays (at 8pm GMT)! He said he’ll do some other games as well after clocking the Destiny DLC. I’ve been hanging out & answering questions in the chat room, but we’ll try sort a way I can join the voice chat without me having to drop 400 bucks for a PS4 😉

    • We drop a new written Film or Game review on Tuesdays and Saturdays (unless there’s an OSW video dropping!). Today’s film is the EVIL DEAD remake! (2013)

    • We’ll be introducing Ric Flair in West Ham on Saturday!
If you come along please say HELLLLOOOOOOO! We’ll be the three Irish lads with pints. We won’t bite…hard. (that’s an Austin Powers 1 reference). There should be a couple tickets left, check here. We’re really psyched for it! We should get him to record something for OSW. Any ideas?

  • David Arquette WCW Trilogy!

    David Arquette WCW Trilogy!

    Arquette Trilogy

May 7th marks the 15th anniversary of David Arquette’s last night as WCW Champion! For people who say he killed WCW, I’ll have you know it was already dead! Relive the glory:

    Ready To Rumble:

    WCW Thunder, April 26th, 2000:

    WCW Slamboree 2000:

This was our 3-part story arc covering David Arquette’s involvement in WCW: The Ready to Rumble film, the night he won the title (Thunder) and the night he lost it (Slamboree). After finishing the Hulkamania Era, it was a great excuse to change settings completely and cover the death of WCW (including all of the world title changes in 2000). Plus I wanted people to think better of Arquette, a massive wrestling fan put in a shitty position, and tried to help out WCW.  To his detractors, I say SHADDDDDAPPPPPP! – Jay

  • Calling for OSW Artwork!

    Calling for OSW Artwork!

    competition

Hey! Wanna make some artwork to be featured in the next show? All ya gotta do is create something OSW (draw/photoshop/render/bake/paint your nails – anything!) and send a pic to us – either post on our facebook, tweet me (@OSWreview) or attach it in an e-mail to OSWreview@gmail. com. Make sure to put ‘OSW’ somewhere in the pic!
We’ve got a super-awesome prize for the winner too! We’ll pick a winner in a week’s time. We’ll put as many entries as we can into our next episode, WCW Final Nitro!

    • Episode 50 will be No Way Out 2001! Part 2 of the X7 Saga – around mid-April. Please don’t ask me about it, I’m working as hard as I can! 🙂

    Other notes:
    • New horror film reviews (Wednesdays) and new videogame reviews (Saturdays) written for the site by V1 and myself! Saturday’s videogame review is Danganronpa (aka Donkey Romper) for the Vita!
    • Metal Gear Solid 4 is our next videogame YouTube review! Game vids are on hiatus until the YT channel is sorted out as I can’t post longer vids until it’s resolved (including bullshit spam claims). Same with the most recent episodes; it’s in WWE & YouTube’s hands. Dunno when, hopefully soon. Until then every vid will be posted here 🙂 If you or a friend work in Google, please get in touch!
