Andre says: July 24, 2014 at 7:31 pm So The Marine and 12 Rounds benefits wrestling? I mean I know they’re WWE produced movies and all but still. Other than that, I completely agree with everything said in this video. Great job, lads. Nice little video 🙂 Bud says: July 24, 2014 at 8:05 pm For me, the thing that ruins him the most is that he makes everyone else look weak. He’ll be in a match, get stomped for 20 minutes, kick out of everything, hit his 5 moves and wins. So him absorbing all that damage during a match and then his opponent can only take a few moves is a joke to me. It makes it seem like he’s in his own league, he’s so above everyone else, that in a kayfabe sense, he’s really the only person to be champion because he’s so powerful. Jay Hunter says: July 24, 2014 at 8:30 pm Let us know if you enjoyed this OSW Xtra! We had this chat after recording the One Night Stand episode. This isn’t the super-secret Brucie-Bonus episode, that’s coming soon! Frank Sowieralski says: July 24, 2014 at 10:09 pm Loved it, just like everything else you guys do! Eric says: July 26, 2014 at 8:23 am Love the video, Jay. I would love it if there were a way for these to come out a few times between OSW episodes. Seems like a much easier video for you to edit, like the Q&A videos of before. I’m just making a suggestion, that popped in my head during the video. A big monthly show following smaller, less quality shows is a format used successfully by the product you are reviewing. Not trying to add more work to you, Jay, but perhaps some of the long winded tangents that you cut out from the OSW episodes could go into Xtra episodes. Once again, great discussion. Very well thought and fair, as always. I have to say that I agree with… MOST of what you guys said. Jay Hunter says: July 28, 2014 at 8:33 am Thanks for being so considerate Eric! Will keep it in mind. The main barrier to doing it (besides it being additional work) is getting a copyright strike from YouTube. If it’s a full episode fair enough, but if I got a strike for a throw-away segment it’d kill me. MattR says: July 24, 2014 at 8:59 pm John Cena is John Cena, seems like a genuinely nice guy who doesn’t politic. As for the episode, it’s always great to have bonus OSW, if you put these out on a semi regular basis, just brief 10 minute chats between episodes, that would be very welcome. If this becomes a twice in a lifetime type deal, then just add it on to an existing episode. Unless you do this regularly, don’t bother. TJ says: July 24, 2014 at 9:24 pm As much as I hate to agree with anything giving Cena some form of praise you are not wrong. This video was interesting would like to hear some more of the lightly edited OSW Review Xtras bras! SarcyMoFo says: July 24, 2014 at 11:41 pm Shockingly you managed to cobble together 10 good points I kind of agree with but when you look at the negatives – particularly how he’s stale, unimproved and doesn’t seem to value wins-losses/titles – then it’s not good. I particularly despise how he has yet to go heel again as imo his short time as the rapper character was awesome and it’s a great shame he didn’t stick with it a little longer Overall while I respect his dedication and position as a role model I do wish he’d taken time to improve and evolve so he doesn’t get justly booed out of everywhere he goes – heck even Hogan turned, eventually, and looked how that went 🙂 Adam Tarczon says: July 25, 2014 at 1:23 am Interesting discussion. I always viewed Cena (as I’m sure everyone else has at one point or another) as Hulk Hogan V2.0. It also seems wrestling goes through seasonal changes. I’m sure in another 5 or so years we will have the new Steve Austin running around, as once Cena decides to pack it in, there isn’t much of a upper mid-card to carry wrestling over again. Geoff says: July 25, 2014 at 5:46 am Good stuff guys, I always appreciate more OSW. Aria says: August 13, 2014 at 1:12 pm I know someone that would love this card, my grand-daughter that is aolsmt 3…she sings this song all the time! Thanks for giving me the idea to make one for her and thanks for joining us at Card Crafter’s Circle! Calzo says: July 25, 2014 at 6:13 am Awesome brah! Tim says: July 25, 2014 at 6:54 am So OSW, since Bryan is now out of the picture for now, who do you think they will make the Number 2 Face? Joe says: July 25, 2014 at 7:48 pm How do we know that “he doesn’t politic.”? I would assume he’s one of the great political masters of the dressing room, given how few clean jobs (3 in almost 4 years) and how he has held the top spot relentlessly for a decade. The parallels with Hogan are plenty; he’s steadily diminishing the enjoyment of the business and preventing new stars from rising for his own personal gain. Lord Thistlewick Flanders says: July 26, 2014 at 11:29 pm I agree, I tend to take a piss break during his matches but I cant hate on the guy. Great point by comparing him to Hogan, you are right, and Super Cena is likely a much better role model for the kids anyhow. Loved the episode BTW, keep em coming!
